Turquoise Necklace

As a December birthday stone, Turquoise was originally worn by ancient Egyptians and widely recognized as the national gemstone of Tibet. It derives its name from the French expression pierre tourques which means “Turkish stone.”  They referred it so because the stone was brought to Europe from Turkey. It symbolizes love, fidelity, joy and delight. Wearing turquoise jewelry is believed to relieve mental tensions and enhance confidence in communication.

• Natural Turquoise with an intense aqua blue set in a fine silver bezel
• Hand shaped & stamped sterling silver pendant base that has been slightly oxidized to enhance the decorative design
• 1 and 3/16" wide x 1 and 3/8" tall pendant on a 16" sterling wavy omega style chain (plus 4" extender) 
• Necklace can be worn at either 16", 18" or 20" length
