I'm a scavenger at heart for any natural element. On all my trips and hikes, I always return with some treasure whether it's an interesting rock, shell, stick or leaf.
This pendant is inspired from a dead coral piece on a South East Asia beach. The coral is used to create a natural shape and texture from fine silver precious metal clay (PMC3). The silver piece is dried, sanded and kiln fired. The pendant is next polished, sifted with a transparent blue enamel powder and is fired again. This fuses the glass powder on to the silver surface. A patina is added to highlight the fine details. Apatite semiprecious rondelles are added, as well as an elegant sterling silver chain.
The necklace with the pendant (1.5"L x .75"W) is 16" long with a 2 " extender for a total of 18" long.
Each jewelry piece is hand fabricated with love and care in my Montana studio. Only one available, ready to ship.
